Hello Survivor
Many have understood how difficult it is to overcome injustice and horrendous abuse and need a respite to change directions. Aruka and Napthali projects are just that opportunity that may fit you. These growing biblically-based ministries seek to provide professional learning tools to facilitate rehabilitation with wholesome faith-based transitional housing.
My Arukah Story
Arukah Project is a faith-based 501(c)3 that works to Restore, Renew and Rebuild the lives of survivors of sex trafficking in Santa Cruz County and Beyond. Our integrated approach engages and empowers the local church, businesses, government agencies, and community stakeholders to collaborate to bring wholeness and freedom. We work directly with adult survivors and commercially sexually exploited children and youth (CSEC) in foster care. We also do Prevention education and training for churches, community organizations, parents, teens and first responders.

My Napthali Story
Karen Barton and Poppy Phares are actively seeking rehabilitation funds to develop a home in Santa Cruz to bring help to the hopeless -- to provide a safe house for women extracted from commercial sex and mind controlled human trafficking. Each participant will develop a rehabilitation life strategy as they adapt to the principles of biblical teachings. Individuals will need to be housed in a safe, secure place, coached, discipled, rehabilitated, and prayed for restored wholeness with necessary life skills. The program will model change from a worm to a beautiful butterfly by teaching participants to believe in themselves as well as structure according to the creators blueprint. Although not an easy, short task we are asking for humanitarian funds to be provided to proceed to this goal. God declares He is doing a new thing. “Now it will spring forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness.” (Isaiah 43:19)
